How to pull of slutface shoes.

Comme Ca:
White ankle socks and a cute nude pleated dress with bow-tie detail! This is how you pull off the highest of heels if your personal style is more cutsie and less red light district.

In other news do you all miss us? We sure did. Day jobs getting in the way, and to be honest we really prefer spring/summer to Autumn/Winter street style. After awhile all the blazers, scarves, gloves, coats merge into one homogonous uninspired blur. We are getting back to it since spring is right around the coooorner!

Turbans & More

Hands down our favorite two hair accessory trends for this winter are turbans and bowler hats. This was a follower send in from a beautiful girl who lives in London. She works at a super casual office and finds that wrapping her mother's vintage green silk scarf around her head ala Lawrence seriously ups her coolness factor all the while banishing bad hair days to seasons far away which are devoid of hair accessories!

We absolutely looove this and are going to be raiding our mother's collection of Hermes scarves (you remember when they use to sell Hermes scarves on airplanes in the 90's? hehe thankfully fathers always leave gift buying to the last minute so we are sure your mother has a stack hidden somewhere also!)

What was fantastic as usual were the insanely rock and roll inspired outfits of all the attendees! We got to meet some great people including for the first time meblogging who are as sweet in person as they are in the digital realm. Feast your eyes lovies!

Pencil Skirt Chic

A beautiful simple combination that can take you from office to gathering or a night out so easily. Attention in the details always! The amazing folds in the skirt (as pointed out by Lady B) and the intricacies of the scarf, mixed with the feisty-ness of the shoe creates a very understated sexiness. We love how Lady B always roughens up her look, in this case via a white wife beater! Domo arrigatto Lady B!!!

Party Hardy!

We spotted this Little Hani hottie creation at a recent Karaoke night thrown by a friend (nothing says self expression like belting out Queen in Marni shoes methinks).
We think this outfit is perfecto, love her jewelry and are obsessed with the shoes...we think it is a very bold pairing with the pants...and as you all know, we really appreciate getting shown different ways to do things! Good job lovely lady!

Vintage Fringe

Digging this little ladies Vintage purse and Fringe Vest Combo. Sometimes its hard to decide what to wear when you are staring at your closet before a night out on the town (and in Kuwait its more like a night out on the house party circuit). Simplifying the basics and snazzing up the accessories is a sure fire bet to cool-ness.
And domo Lady B for forwarding these shots!

Depth

Picture care of Madame Dill
Personal style is all about avoiding the matchy matchy thing, unless of course you are a Harajuku girl and have decided to dress up like Sailor Moon, then yes I salute your consistency. This lovely lady has got mixing and matching down to a science! Note her flowery skirt, with the cool sleekness of her Uterque ( p.s if you haven't heard of Uterque, SHAME on you...the higher end franchise boutique from our friends at Zara) cuff. Just so interesting and multilayered is our lovely girl!

skirt: Topshop
